Good afternoon everyone. It finally stopped raining after all night and this morning. The puddle in the back yard is now a little pond! I'm hoping some ducks will come for a visit, but not holding my breath!

I love chickens too... baked, fried, soup!... but mine are pets.

No news that I've heard so far.

We always make pie out of the extra roosters. We ate Fowler the other night

I think I am on the wrong thread. I love chickens but they are not my pets.

I adore chickens -- and the ones I keep are absolutely pets...as long as they are productive and earning their keep.....(and, sometimes beyond that time if they are special).....but there is ZERO hesitation in culling and/or consuming one of them.

I have two chickens that are going to live forever. Peachy and Spyke. My two love bugs

I've never tasted duck... or goose.... or quail.... I need to sooo bad
