they said he will get iv antibiotic, fluids, meds for nausea , anti diarrea . a catheter. Over a $9.00 shot. I am so mad at myself. maybe a week in the hospital.

It's not just one shot Granny...you have to give them 3 in the first few months of life then one per year after that (booster)

Tractor supply carries the exact same shots as the vet does.

Hopefully Bandit pulls through this parvo...I have never had to deal with it.
I wouldn't think that he could even get the shot a shot right now...wouldn't it make him sicker??

Whites is doing ok..he said he is up and moving around..just having a little trouble getting some fluid out of his lungs.
He said the food Sux!!! I told him to have his wife sneak him some real food in! lol

If I were you I would spray bleach EVERYwhere! Who knows where he picked it up from.....You could have been walking in town and go some on your shoe and brought it home.
Someone could have dropped some off unknowingly when they visited.
CB could have been exposed to it at school and brought it home.
There is NO way to figure out how the virus got there but now you know for sure it is there, I would try to get rid of it the best you can.

I wonder if the cold weather kills it???

Granny...you see how this bottle ohs made...
you connect your hose to is and spray the yard.

Don't pay attention to the brand..just the bottle.

Go to the store and look for the cheapest bottle of stuff you can find like this bottle.

use it or dump it out and then fill it with bleach....have CB spray the whole yard....patios included...have him keep refilling it with bleach until everything is sprayed.

Wholeheartedly agree with him on that.... I had someone bring me a burger last time I was stuck in the hospital for a while

Operation "Real Food".... We'll all go sneaking into the hospital with a turkey dinner and strong coffee! Ski masks not required.

I think it does Wishing. I will make sure but I read it gives them immunity . With that being said, The others need a booster shot. the yard and house including grass needs to be bleached to kill the virus. It is an amazing thing. It is my fault he is sick. over a freaking $9.00 shot. I am ashamed.
I wonder if thats what it is ? whatever it is I am one very lucky girl.

I don't think he can get parvo again...
I think the shot contains some of the parvo virus which when given to the dog it makes his body learn how to produce the antibodies to fight it.

You didn't go pick up the parv virus and give it to Bandit.
S h t happens...this is just one of those things that happens.
