Trying to find more ladies hiding in the hay!
Wishing, favorite movies ? Dances with wolves was on today and I just caught the tail end of it..
We watched The Secret Life of Walter Mitty the other night. I love that movie, and I shouldn't because I don't care for any of the main actors, but somehow it works. It's clever and subtle, beautiful settings and great music. I need to get the dvd.
sorry Kiki, not all parents can afford to send money with their kids for books (so no shame there). I've been to many school book sales myself & usually the books are pretty pricey. My children & grandchildren have always had books to read, just not ones bought at a school bookfair. We must all try to remember to thank God for the blessings we do have, because there are many people that just cant afford that luxury. (All spoke in a friendly tone) My kids usually got a dollar, cuz that's all we could afford. They would purchase a pencil, eraser or bookmark & were thrilled to be able to get that![]()

Quote: I love it! I cried so much during the whole thing.
We introverts can relate to Walter. The original short story was written in the 30s by James Thurber and I'd like to read that to see the inspiration. Original movie was 1947 with Danny Kaye. I think you would really enjoy Miss Pettigrew Lives for a Day.
