Wishing, favorite movies ?  Dances with wolves was on today and I just caught the tail end of it..

We watched The Secret Life of Walter Mitty the other night.  I love that movie, and I shouldn't because I don't care for any of the main actors, but somehow it works.  It's clever and subtle, beautiful settings and great music.  I need to get the dvd.

I love it! I cried so much during the whole thing.

sorry Kiki, not all parents can afford to send money with their kids for books (so no shame there). I've been to many school book sales myself & usually the books are pretty pricey. My children & grandchildren have always had books to read, just not ones bought at a school bookfair. We must all try to remember to thank God for the blessings we do have, because there are many people that just cant afford that luxury. (All spoke in a friendly tone) My kids usually got a dollar, cuz that's all we could afford. They would purchase a pencil, eraser or bookmark & were thrilled to be able to get that

I agree with you. I think the prices are way TOO HIGH...
I think it's a big waste of money and I even mentioned it to quite a few adults today.
I was at the goodwill yesterday and saw many of the same books for a quarter.
I convinced a few teachers to put their books back and go check the goodwill first.
I can believe that no one knew they had good books at the goodwill. Many had never even been there.
Anyways....I too only got a dollar if that back when I was in school.
I do NOT give my kids money to waste at the book fairs, but I do like to help the school out by "working" at them.

I didn't want you to mail anything back.
I'll let you know when I do get or build a bator.

I threw in a thing for you..didn't know if you could/would use it but I just had to send something for you too...not just the kids.
I hope DH isn't mad he didn't get anything.
I honestly didn't even think about finding him something.

Are the bathing suits ok?

We introverts can relate to Walter. The original short story was written in the 30s by James Thurber and I'd like to read that to see the inspiration. Original movie was 1947 with Danny Kaye. I think you would really enjoy Miss Pettigrew Lives for a Day.
