Aggravated need to vent...ready?

I called the place (a medical supply store..since our local regular pharmacies no longer carry crutches) before driving all the way to it, to make sure they had the correct size.
They said yes!
So after I get there and wait a good 30 minutes they said that No they didn't have any left in stock!
What a pita!

Long story short ...my little one was involved in a 4 wheeler accident and now needs help walking!    One mad momma here!
Totally avoidable accident ..which would NOT have happened if I was there! 

So...I will be carrying around my midget again for another day!

Btw..the scout party was a hit...I got a few offers to decorate for a kid bday party and the church director wants me to do the decorations for one of their events.
(I'm not even a good decorator! lol)

LOL - BTDT, I always over order/over buy figuring I'll have some losses or end up with "oops" cockerels......worst case scenario you do just what you did and sell the extras -- depending on what they are and how far you take them you can sell the extras and make back pretty much everything you spent buyin the chicks and raising them to whatever point you are selling them at - plus it allows for picking the nicest marked bird, the friendliest one, etc of whatever breeds you're getting.  This is why for my flock of 6 I'll be starting at least 12.

I didn't make anything on them. Wrong time of year. I didn't have room for keeping them over winter and there were too many chicken fights. Had them posted for 2 weeks and I was done dealing with it. So someone got healthy cheap 16 week started pullets.

And I just put 10 eggs in my incubator. I'll add the 11th later tonight. We'll see how it goes!

Ah, the joys of travel -- DD and FSIL didn't even make it out of Cincinnati before they hit the first delay - ended up being delayed so much that they'll miss the connection in Salt Lake -- airline already re-booked them, but now they won't get in until almost midnight -- no big deal, but will make for a very long night since the airport is a good hour from here. 

Oh no sorry to hear they will be delayed. You will have so much fun once they get there.

The red island Rhodes were bullies so I got rid of them. They'd chase the others around and pull feathers out. Since I got rid of them the others have been fine. No fighting.

- just got off the phone with FSIL -- they are STILL sitting in Cincinnati and will now miss the re-booked connection as well -- he called because DD was dealing with the airline getting things figured out -- looks like they're getting put up in a hotel in Salt Lake overnight and will be on the first flight out in the morning so they'll get in around 10 a.m. Poor kids, I know this is stressful for them (and DD's TBI seriously lowered her tolerance level for stress -- so I'm feeling pretty sorry for FSIL right now). Sent them both a message to just take a deep breath, get to Salt Lake, enjoy the night just the two of them (especially since he just got back on Saturday from being away for over three weeks), get a good night's sleep and we'll see them in the morning -- really all they are missing out on at this point is sleeping here overnight, no biggie!

They can tend to be aggressive - and being a bit crowded can definitely exacerbate that, so sounds like getting them up and out was a good move.

I didn't know that they would be. They all grew up from chicks together. It was sudden that they turned. They weren't even top ranked.

I got the fish tank up and running. I have to wait 24 hrs. before I add my fish. They are going to look lost in there.
Mare, kicking my ask HARD ! Wal mart has crap. gold fish, tetras an oscar and ciclids. and they are not pretty. the very pale colored ones. They would just eat what fish I have now.

Please tell me you found your angels local ?? Would love to have a school of neons too and if I ever hit the lotto I will.

Don't ever buy fish there!. Far better to buy from Pet Smart, or a privately owned pet shop, after you've seen how they keep the store & their tanks. Never buy out of a talk with dead or sluggish fish in it.
