Granny's gone and done it again

wait a minute...you get in a pool with all that nasty white stuff around you?

Im asleep. do not pay attention to me.

White stuff?? You mean like this white stuff.......

That would be two of my sisters and I posing in front of a giant snow bank at the pool.............(lovely hot springs fed pool...used to amuse ourselves by sitting in the snow bank then jumping into the warm water, stung like a *B* but we thought it was great fun.....)
LOL - this was the day I found them at the store and snapped a pic to send DH --- they are not quite so shiny and new looking now, but have held up incredibly well.

Hilarious! I've always wanted to do the Takhini hair freezing contest...

Welsh harlequins are the other duck I would want besides muscovies. They are so pretty.  Are they big quackers?  I've got too many neighbors too close. Do they fly much? Friendly?  Tell me why I should get some!!

They don't quack unless they're hungry or in distress.... Miss coming up to the coop and hearing a volley of quacks.... Fly? Nope. Not at all. Super friendly if you handle them a bunch. My guys would come sit next to me or on my lap and snooze.

Why?? There's too many reasons to list! First, they're gorgeous. And friendly. A few worms and they're your BFF. They lay tons of eggs and are super docile, especially compared to other breeds like Cayuga. They're super personable and will make you grin until your gills hurt.

Nah, that's kidney sister up front -- I'm the one off to the side.....the really awkward looking one....

what a way to describe your sister. LOL How is she doing ? Are things getting close ? Hearing aid dr. , his wife just got her kidney. Said she got lucky because she wasnt in the front of the line but because it was a perfect match (and one other person) she got it and is doing great.

And they can be sexed at hatch? Am I remembering that right? I decided on welshies 2 yrs ago... there is a hatchery (Metzer Farms) a few hrs from me and I would go pick some up and bond on the drive home! But then I like the idea of muscovies because of the fly eating thing and they are quiet. Now I'm wondering if they can be kept together. What do you think?
