Granny's gone and done it again

So GRAND TALLEY

first to calve will be 19, Maiah and Granny

Then Enola and finally Star and Comet all 3 of these calved last years as well and that makes 4 calved in a row for Star

I figure that we will move/lock in the south part of the tit granny and the other 2 in about a month. As Maiah is a first time calver and 19 had a still born 2 or 3 years ago.

ended up with just 2 open cows. Janet and Crazy Sheila who was NOT amused about the whole procedure and the vet was "very" thorough on her.

Do you have the youngsters separated from the adults? Guess they are not at reproductive age yet?

The more I see of Hailey the more I really want to keep her she is beyond super wooly and nice bones/frame under all the hair and pretty calm as well.

Holy yak! You are going to have 6 calves! haha! and I was agonizing about having 2 extra chicks.


I'm sure you could do AI for Hailey. Maybe find a wooly bull with some color...

Yep last years calves are over in the 3 paddock system by the goat and dairy barn.

Are they taming down at all? Especially Hailey... so you can handle her and tame her calves quicker. Got any yak halters?

Lucky looks like a sweetheart! Says they are open to a trade... maybe you could offer one of your "extras" and lower the price a bit. Do they have yak shows in ND? You are behind the times, Twist! Better get those babies tamed and learn them some manners, otherwise they will just do what Crazy Shelia taught them.
