sorry Camp, pretty upset myself. Took me a yr. and sorta forced a cat on Robert after his died. Told him to either pick or I would but a cat was coming home with us. He still carries that cats collar in his pocket every day.

I honestly dont know. Tom commented yesterday ? Morning that he didnt feel good and was on a bed in the family room so I know he wasnt there that night

Can you guys imagine your best fried id dead and you just go pick out another ?   Guys, My kid isnt social . The only friends he has had his whole life Is these 2 cats and Tom and myself.   They mean just as much to him as I do.  He would lay down his life for his friend.

I didn't mean the day of to get another cat. Gotta have time for mourning. Be that 6 months or 2 years from now. If something happened to Kat or Pippa I'd be a wreak. I'd probably never recover. I cry every time they go to the vet. Worried myself sick when they had surgery.

I think that there has to be a connection. And maybe he wasn't ready for that yet...or just hadn't found the right cat.

Kind of therapy animal Robert needs is all about the bond between them. Not just any cat will do. What was it about the first cat he liked so much? I'd send Henry out to take care of Robert, but Henry turns into a weenie around dogs.

so very sorry Granny. Maybe when he is ready a cat will just show up for him. I have had 3 strays that I got that way. I wasn't looking for a cat but then hafdhafd one. First time it was 2 within days of each other and both in odd ways

He was feral and only attached to Robert. We all carry the scars to prove it.

Wishing all of mine are mixes. I wanted color, breeds didn't really matter. Except Reds hate me

Or they are always crazy. Either way I'm never keeping Reds again lol
