Just smashed my back end up not too bad...his car was actually way more damaged then mine. his had to be towed...we drove home.

That's good then. At least you can drive it until it goes into the shop. Very lucky no one got hurt.

I am bummed. My pics are all spread out there in the threads. I would have made albums before the conversion if I had understood what was going on. oh well

I didn't explain the wreck right.

We were stopped on a two lane road, with turn signal on to turn left. (waiting for the oncoming cars to pass so we could turn)
(and brake lights lit up)

He was hauling butt somewhere from way behind us and slammed into us..
He tried to say we didn't have a signal on...then he tried to say he had his lights and sirens on..like that would have even made a difference.
Video didn't lie, yet he tried his hardest and kept changing his story. It was very sad.
Had there not been so many officers there I would have chewed him out. He needs to loose his job period, as far as Im concerned...he lied way to easily...I don't want him protecting me.

sitting here no alerts bored out of my gourd. Kiki, Why the hell couldnt he just say yup, I hit them ? How much does it hurt for people to admit their faults? Cause insurance companys tell them not to thats why. Think they might save a dollar.

I didn't think of it that way.
But he continued to lie to his boss...Who he called immediately and he (boss)showed up in his person vehicle/plain clothes. Then to the investigators..

I mean flat out lying which was really really bothering me.

I got hit parked . I was half in half out the car. Hurt my back. they tried to give me $500. for it. I said nope. got a lawyer. Never seen them again but got a check for $7000.00

I think I should be the one to "mess it up"/I should have the choice.
I had no choice, and I know it's just an "accident" and I can't do much about it now..but this "COP" should have been paying attention...

Only time I've been in an accident was exactly like that, just not a cop that hit me. Totaled my car, but the money from that and some I had saved up allowed me to buy the little blue car that I just turned it. Wow, that accident was 30 yrs ago, but I can still remember is plainly.
I would file a complaint at the station about the weasely lies he told. Very unethical and unprofessional. It's his friggin job to be truthful and to protect people, not try to make them account for his mistakes! And what else has he lied about to keep himself out of trouble??? Thank goodness you had the video from the feed store. Officer should be reprimanded for what he did... for the false statements if not the accident itself. That kind of petty crap gives all officers a bad rep. Lights and sirens my ass.
