Granny's gone and done it again

I'm not saying layer feed is bad per say, I just always see threads with problems and they feed layer. So my brain screams stay away from it!

Haha old does not mean wise. There's enough proof of that where I live. Which is why I throw on the brakes when people start sprouting off years and time.

Hey sis pm me about FF I've been wanting to try it but scared I'll mess it up. I want to give it to the littles in a pan. They waste too much crumble in the gravity feeder. Someone probably biddy has been IN the feeder.
Now you've got me thinking about not using layer for my hens after this bag runs out. I can't find anything but the Purina for an all flock feed. Everything is layer or chick feed. Maybe I'll try it and see if the egg anomalies stop. My hens gobble oyster shell even with the layer feed.
You should try the fermented. Just start out really small until you get it figured out. You can increase the amount gradually when you see how much they eat at a time. I'm thinking about trying too, because we still seem to have rats around. :hmm If they eat all I give them, there won't be anything left for the varmints and they can go move back to the neighbors (who leave cat food out all the time).

why ? They are still a bit wild. If I do cut them loose in the yard I wont get them back which maybe a good thing but they are so little they will get ate.
And they will get ticks, and be wild, and perpetuate the Too Many Cats Running Around cycle.

Wishing I'll check when I get home but I bought flock feed at Rural king and it's not purina. But it's pellets. I think purina is crumbles

Robert gave a possible good reason to not put kittens in with chickens but I still want to. He says kittens immune system isnt developed enough for chicken poop.
Nurse called, Dr. ordered blood draw and meds. Woke him up headed out to find lab closed and insurance dont cover the meds. We got half of them but thats plenty AS THE PAIN WAS GONE. Its 95 out. Not counting heat index.
