Have you seen it poop Ally ? I think you will have to clean it. I run them under soft water . maybe some antibiotic ointment on its little bum or whatever you have.

pole barn is flooded . Never seen that before. ants are grabbing their eggs and heading for high ground. thousands of them. yards are flooded and it aint over yet. Coop wont ever dry out. I couldnt even get in there to feed .

Ally, you need a first aid kit for the chickens. I keep mine in a picinic basket. There are some things you should always have on hand and others if you plan on doing more hatching.

I've not seen him poop yet.
Uh I have petroleum jelly I think? Nothing antibiotics that I know of.

Yeah I know. I have odds and ends. Rooster booster electrolytes, some wound spray. But no ointments. I need a list of must haves so I can pick them up when I'm out again.

wash him first then use a dab of that on the yolk. If he dont poop he will die and that sticky seals them up back there. Its not easy to come off either. I use water the way I like it for a shower but Im sure there is a formula. probably 90 degrees.
