I don'/t knit never learned BUT I wouldn't mind carding the fiber would keep my hands busy so I would not only be doing something productive but wouldn't be smoking as much either.

I'm sure there's some old ladies in town that'd knit for ya.

Oh, Granny, I was thinking of you today when I saw a friend from back there post the forecasted heat index for Madison -- holy crap! It was overcast, 70 and occasional misty showers here all day.......my kind of summer weather!

Well, who wouldn't? What a precious photo!

Mare i love your coop, especially the green & purple paint.

Thank you - it only took three shades of green to get to the one I could live with.....and thankfully that toned down the purple because initially I didn't like either of the colors I picked and brought home - and I had 2 gallons of both. Ended up donating the first green to the Habitat store....and learned my lesson and bought the next two in sample quarts, only upgrading to gallon when I knew which one I wanted.

Hmmm... like therapy. I know working with sheep wool makes your hands soft from lanolin, is it? Do yaks have that? natural oils?

I ended up taking my husband to the urgent care this afternoon.
Who ever thought putting a beehive in our front yard where we have to mow was a good idea, well it's not because the mower DH is allerigic to bees , guess what. He got stung. My whole afternoon shot. No yoga for me today.. oh he got three shots, lol
