Me neither lol. Sounds like you made a good move with your new career. Lucky you get sent to the beach. They sent me to fayetteville for management trying for a couple weeks. Wish it would've been the beach lol. Which beach are you at?Can't complain (too much, lol) -- you?
I've got to find me another lap bird. I have a few that will sit with me sometimes but I want one like chloe was. She'd follow me around until I sat down so she could sit on my lap all day if I'd let her lol. I sure miss her.Ha - found the way to the heart of my most standoffish birds this morning......I *had* an eggroll, key word being had. Warmed up leftovers for breakfast and went out to visit the girls while I ate -- gave up about 75% of the darn thing to them, but was well worth it because the Myrtle and Agnes (SS and BR) took turns sitting in my lap to steal bites. These are the two I have wanted to be my lap birds from day one and have wanted nothing to do with that. Even Gladys, the leghorn spazz, got closer than she ever has before......apparently these girls have a taste for international cuisine.
Awww, he was such a sweet boy. Thank you for finding that. I'm not happy with the new system for posting pictures, still trying to get used to it, and to make matters worse, my computer took it upon itself to upgrade to Windows 8.1, and it changed the system for my pics on the computer. Not much, but it doesn't take much to throw me off... dang computer.grannys gone and done it | Page 1246 | BackYard Chickens
Sherman (the tank)I remembered this discussion.
That's a 2 liter bottle. Had to bring him in on hot days. Ice pillow!
Baby pic!
I'm hoping that's what happens with Spike. She's not mean at all, but hope she gets friendlier.Ethel was like that unti after she started laying. Now she's the friendliest one.
I didn't know you were having another dry summer up there. I remember Lindalouly worrying about it last year. We've just been having the terrible heat. Nice today, though.Send it this way -- we are SOOOOO dry here, which is ironic given everyone always thinks all it does is rain here......
What lovely hair. Just keep using that comb and washing everything and laundry and shampooing a lot. You'll beat them eventually.(I hope) Maybe DD would want to be a bleach blonde.
We have had a squirrel in the back yard since early spring. Scooter's heart's desire is to get that squirrel. I have not seen it in a couple of weeks, and I know the dog didn't get it...Yea I can't blame the hawks. They're just doing what they have to do to survive. I do wished that they'd go after all the mice, snakes, and squirrels instead of the chickens though.
I got a little rock with my hen chloes name on it where I buried her. I would've had a funeral service for her but I couldn't find a hearse.
Yes, every blasted step! Are you taking pics for a coop article? And a grannyland update![]()
