Granny's gone and done it again

You mean Beth and Yuri ?? NO some type of wild animal Just can't think of what type. Other then not a snapping turtle , I think coyote would have left bigger punctures and on more then just the muzzle. Skunk , she should smell.

So I am sort of left with weasel, muskrat, coon or fox.
scary as some of those in the daytime brings rabies to mind. Coon smells too.

$10 here. price of food is the same everywhere I think.
:lau Come visit me here... Stuff you get for $10 is closer to 15.

I don't know, and I don't want to, or I might downsize. 45 birds go through about 75 lbs of food per week, and most of them aren't full grown yet.
Yikes! That's a lot of mouths to feed.

Twist, your "oats" is just look like regular oatmeal ? I know I have asked before . I havent found any. How is this better then me giving them corn ?

Well Beth's rabies shot is only about 1 year old. And no one has seen a coon this year. Judging from all the dirt/mud/clay that both Beth and Yuri keep showing up with coating their faces. I am thinking maybe a Muskrat they "dug" out of a burrow BUT there is so little water in the "pond" parts of the creek I just can't believe that a muskrat would still be around.

Come and get him. I'm not going to bother breeding them because I'll just end up giving them away for free.... Can't get money for chooks here. I had someone tell me the other day that $5 for a 10 month old pullet was too much.
How much will you pay, in the supermarket or at butcher shop, for a 2,5 kg chicken? 5$ IS TO MUCH??? Here are BC Marans chick 2 weeks old will cost 80 shekels =20$
