Granny's gone and done it again

MUST have I mean even the food is period appropriate/historically factual. I am finding more and more that I do NOT want to keep pigs :lau
Actually, our 3 pigs were easy keepers. I had guinea hogs. We fenced a pasture around the pond with a solar electric fence. They had a pen with a small shelter i put them in at night. Very tidy, they would only poop in one corner. Came when i called them. Never named them because we planned to eat them.

were they good ? Is pork crackling the skin ? I used to put that in corn bread. yum.

We ended up selling them to a man who wanted to breed them. They are a heritage breed, and we got good bucks for them. I bet they would have been tasty though. I may try to talk husband into some again after i get the goat building built and get my herd established.
