Chickens fed & watered. 4 eggs this am. Sunny, going up to 88* today. laundry & dishes done. Gotta move my silkies so rabbit can go into rabbit hutch & I can use dog kennel to transport goat in Saturday. Gotta put tarp up over corner of small pasture & move large doghouse there for goat shelter. If it wasn't for the dang duck I would put the goat in the dog pen for awhile. Gd's animals and too much for the pens I have. Still looking for Nigerian dwarf females.

I've modified it slightly to eliminate the spillage problem, but it's super-easy to make.

I think I will make a couple of those. How did you modify it?

My pretty arbor out front is being pulled down. I have wisteria planted in the ground and this is whats doing it. I have chopped it numerous times . I put 2 half barrels there and planted a pretty honeysuckle in them and thought I could weed whip to keep the wisteria away. No such luck . Now I just have a mess that will need to all come down.

I love wisteria. It must be strong!

I'm in the big purple state on the left (west).
See where there is a place where there are some white "fingers" sticking in? That is where the Golden Gate bridge is and it created that huge bay (surrounding area called the San Francisco Bay Area). That bay, and being close to the ocean, is what keeps the temperatures very moderate here. Rarely even get frost if you live close to the bay. I live about an hour north (up).

We have pileated woodpeckers here too. My favorite is the yellow bellied sapsucker.
