Welcome AR! We are a little whacky but we have a good time here.
I figure laying pellets have a fair amount of calcium and oyster shells are given free choice. I had 200 chickens when i lived in TN, but right now i have just 3 types and none are laying yet.
What types do you have, and do you keep any other pets or livestock?

Thanks everyone for the replies. I will go out and get some oyster shell. I have 2 white leghorns 1 laying 1 not. And an ameracauna also not laying yet.

I save my egg shells & feed them back to them when i'm not putting them around mator plants in the spring.

Due to having roosters in my flocks I don’t feed layer feed but I do keep a small chick feeder full of oyster shell in each pen. Best of luck to you! How old are your birds?

Thats a good question. I bought the leghorns from a guy in weatherford he said they were both laying already. I got brownie from a feed store they also told me she was laying already. I took brownie because she looked like she was getting picked on she didnt have any tail feathers at all and had a few scabs. Shes doing much better now.
