Fluttershy hatched her baby, but she won't take care of it. I found it wedged under the fence, rescued it, and put it under her. 20 mins later she had pushed it 2ft away again. So now I have a bathroom duck, just like nature intended. Fingers crossed for the sweet little ling. :fl It's still got a little bit of yolk, not nearly to worst I've ever seen. Hoping getting warm will help a bit.

I had decided to splint little Webby and hope for the best, but when I went for her she was no longer. Too bad, because she really had seemed to be doing ok. :(
So cute. :love Are there wild type colored muscovies?
Sorry about the one that died. You had said that it had some blood on the leg... maybe infection set in.

Wishing it's my dd MIL that is currently battling cancer. My MIL died 6 yrs ago from Lymphoma.
:( :hugs

I had 2 Wellies the first year I got into chickens. Oh my goodness they were so loud & would go on for hours. Never ever will I keep them again. I've got a couple of CCL that squack something awful. Have had to resort to going to the coop & throwing out the hen that was in the nest boxes they want just to try to shut them up, lol. I have also found that when my 13 Serama's sound the alarm to a predator it is ear shattering. They are by far the loudest, more so then the large fowl birds.
Ginger is out there screaming right now. Like a small peacock. At least peacocks take a breath occasionally. :he

I'm amazed that he lived at all after being run over by anything more than a bicycle!
I know, especially with blood running out of his nose and mouth! I saw no point spending $1000 or more on a 14 year old dog when he might die anyway, and husband said let him be and see how he does. And he recovered! Must have strong bones!

Hi Wishing. :frow

Last years "wild type" ling turned into Cow, the drake. Here's his year in review!
