Dropped brother off at the airport. Was a GREAT visit but to short. I need to get some laundry going but seem to be trying to doze off .

I’m the same even with chicks I’ve hatched from my original polish hens. They are just not the same.



Like anything they get accustomed to what they know. Scott reckons Harry does not need rugs because he saw a program about some Icelandic ponies that managed sub zero temps so he thinks all horses can manage that! He can’t grasp that Harry has always been wrapped up and never naked! That’s all Harry knows.

thats true, look at Twist, He thinks 50 is hot I am freezing. LOL

Brother did have a wonderful final day of hunting and limited out. Ended up with a total possession of 6 max allowed is 12.

So what did he do with them ?

This time he gave them to Rod. Usually he takes them back with him. He likes pheasant and I haven't found a way yet to make it edible IMHO all white meat to start with.

York, I got eggs from Camping and Lisa and hatched some birds I was pretty tickled with . Then I got 5 boys and didnt have time to tend them, Boys werent doing it although they said they were I went out there to find them starving. I was having a hard time feeding the kids money wise so I thought it best to rehome them not realizing how much I would miss some of them. I had Mares birds too.
I am now without the boys and very mad at myself over what I have done so I dont think more chickens will help at all.

I had some jerky from them but just a taste as Robert happened !

Robert was in 7th heaven with all the meat Lisa brought. I didnt even get to smell any this trip. ohh ya, I tasted a deer hotdog. It was very good ! Last time the pheasant had buck shot in it and he was cracking me up . Bite ,chew. PING ! I think he liked it even better like that .

LOL good way to crack/chip a tooth hitting a random piece of shot. And since they seem to be phasing out the lead shot it's mainly steel now which is even tufer on the teeth.
