Granny's gone and done it again

Glad to hear you guys are starting to get some rain our there.
Yes, it will officially end the fire season and we can relax a bit. Hubs and I drove through a burned area today. It was horrifying... like a war zone. Houses completely flattened. Very sobering to see it in person. Truly heartbreaking and brings tears. We were soooooo lucky.

You and @Yorkshire Coop got that mite thing going on. LOL She will poison 4 city blocks if you just mention mites.
York knows the score! Kill them all.

Yeah, it is kinda funny, though worrying in the same way.

Didn't find anything in the coop, only on the birds; they were black. Almost positive they aren't red mites. I am getting concerned for the roo however, he just keeps itching and I'm not sure if he has gotten paler or not. Tried to go on the roost but just kept jumping back down so he can itch.

To add to it, my vet is off yee- hawing her way to Kentucky at the moment.
What kind of Ivermectin do you have? Old would be better than none. I would give it tonight if I were you.

I give my littles gatoraid all the time. I mix it 50/50 but thats not going to help build the blood will it ?

That's what the iron and molasas is for, might just need to give it more time, it's all I can do at this point. Don't want to give him too much. I know it can build up in the pancreas and liver, as well as can lead to heart failure.

Forgot to get any at the feed store. Mostly been mixing crushed up iron supplements into their feed. I have also been giving them molasses and strawberries. Might run over to the dollar store when it opens and get some baby electrolyte. I have used it for the rabbits before and It didn't harm them, unless Gatorade would work...
None of that will save them from the mites. You need to kill the mites.
