Good evening everybody!

I was gone most of the day. Spent some time with my good friend and we went to see her mom's house that burned down in the big fire last month. It was very sobering. Her neighborhood was called Coffey Park and in one night 31 people died and close to 1300 homes were destroyed. It's very hard to imagine.

I know. I look around at all my stuff... Can you imagine losing EVERYTHING? Wake up in the middle of the night and have 15 minutes to get dressed, gather what you can (friend's mom got her cat) and leave. And where do you go? And what do you do after? Most everything you need, you have to go and buy. All your mementos of a long life are ash. What an ordeal to start all over. Her mom just wants her own place at this rate. Luckily she has 2 grown children in town and is able to live with her son. for now.
