Personally, I'd do it without telling her. Your birds, your descisions, unless of course they're hers.... then she gets to take care of him.

I've finally got my 8 LF hens & birchen roo in 1 pen. GS killed my bo roo. I had told him not to. Rest of the LF need to be culled

He’s not been in a coop since late July? I had hoped he’d disappear.

Guess Im used to mine. I put/let one out of the coop and they are gone in an hr. I dont have a clue what happens to them.

I have my own comments on that, but I guess you can do what you wish.

He goes where he pleases. He’s also chicken aggressive. He tries to fight everything. He can get to shelter in the barn or one of the many other places but he likes to roost on the small coop.

My big ones won’t go far. Maybe out in the field with the cows at the most. If they see me or I holler at them they come running.

My neighbours do that. Not acceptable IMO. Your birds, you are responsible for caring for them and providing a swift and merciful death if needed.

Yep. I’m shocked too. I can’t catch him, even at night when he roosts. I gotta be super sneaky tonight.
