Granny's gone and done it again

A sausage that is made with ground pork and beef or all ground beef, that is mixed with potatoes, onions, and only a few seasonings. A traditional sausage from Sweden, potato sausage was often served at holiday celebrations, such as Christmas. It can be boiled, baked, pan fried, or microwaved, and goes well with a variety of hearty food dishes or soups. This sausage is also referred to as Swedish Potato Sausage, Potato Ring, and Swedish Style Potato Sausage.

NOT my Recipe but you get the general idea
1 1/2 lb. pork (ground) sausage
1 1/2 lb. beef (hamburger)
2 med. onions, chopped
2 tsp. black pepper
2 tsp. allspice
1/3 or more potatoes
Salt and pepper to taste
The whole thing boils down to 1/3 beef, 1/3 pork, 1/3 potatoes. Mix all thoroughly. Put into casing.
It's like meatloaf sausage! Just changing the breadcrumbs for potato. :p

They were all vaccinated, all from the same hatchery at the same time. Speckleds supposedly do poorly with Mereks.
That's so sad. The vaccines are not even close to 100%, and the ones after hatch are supposed to be much less effective than vaccines given before hatch. UC vet said don't even bother with the ones you can buy and give at home. You can still have a flock of your own, and it will eventually become immune, you just can't sell or give any away.

Good evening! Really enjoying the Christmas cards. Today was Alley and Neatstuff. Thank you all!

Sled or wagon... try it! nag nag nag

Oh Jane, how disappointing. If it weren't for the gks, I would let her suffer the consequences of her choices, but not fair to the kids.

That should be warm enough.

hahahaa! You are the only one I have ever heard call them "top knots" other than me. That's what we called them when I was a kid. We never had any any Polish, but I remember Merry Chicken, the only chicken that ever had a name. She was a little barred hen with a medium sized slicked back top knot, and very friendly too. :)
I call them top knots. That’s what we call them on our dogs.
