Granny's gone and done it again

I was thinking about you today. I would be freaking out some too. You inevitably go through all the what ifs, but hopefully it will end up being what if it's something else. My friend's husband went through this. They had a very rough week until the biopsy came back negative. She is a nurse practitioner, and knows all about the size and shape and margins and all that... she was expecting the worst, but it's proof that good things can happen, it was benign. She was really freaked out because it was her husband with the lump. They never expected that, especially as her mother was diagnosed stage 2 over 10 years ago, but today she is healthy and cancer free.

It was just reading the blog that made me realize there can be so much more to it than just cutting out a lump. I know i can do it, but i sure don't want to. It may mean selling all the animals again. And what about my gardens and stuff? That is what gets me going each day. Hubby has little interest in that. I was hoping to have a few enjoyable years before my memory dwindled and i can't do stuff any more. Crap, this sucks so bad.

Yeah, I understand that. I think all you can do is one day at a time. Keep breathing. Your hubby may have to do some things that he's not used to doing, but it won't hurt him. You have the bunnies all set up, so they might be easy enough to care for. They are good for bunny therapy too. It's good to consider all your options, but don't make any decisions until you have to.

You and I are opposites in that. I agonize over the smallest decisions. If you do have to have treatment, you will need to learn how to rest. It will be more of a marathon than a sprint, pacing is important.

Well there’s also baby animals of all types, baby announcements, bridal/engagement pics, gender reveals, crafts and recipes, laughter and tears, and general encouragement. Right now all the small dairies are shutting down so the women are rallying and asking which milk from what stores helps the most. It’s a neat group. Mollie added me to it.

Still don’t understand the whole gender reveal parties. Guess I am really dating myself.

Instead of just saying, we are having a boy or girl, they give you ultrasound results with pink balloons or blue cake or whatever. Make a big production and get folks to give you presents.
