Sorry Alley, shipping is so rough on eggs. Shoot I have a Cochin/EE hen that lays a green egg, great, right? Wrong, I have never gotten a fertile egg from her that didn't have the aircell on the side. I accidently hatched one last year that hatched, but had a messed up wing. Just discontinued a growing embryo that was a 11 days old today that the aircell was on the side of the egg. It's sad, she is such a nice bird

The CCL eggs are actually worse on the ACs than the silkie eggs were.
They have the AC on like the long side of the egg? I’m so sorry about the little babies! Would they all have deformities?

Those green colored eggs are really tough to see through.

I need to try with both my phone and candler next time. Took a bunch of eggs out. I won’t have enough to go to the swap to make it worth while I think.

I've got broody's coming out of the woods, but very few fertile eggs. I have 1 Serama sitting on 3 eggs that are day 19 tomorrow. This is only her second rodeo & last time she wasn't successful. Fully formed chick that never made exterior pip, dis. I'm so used to my little Silkies that were so vocal with their eggs as they came into the home stretch, just don't see it with the 3 Serama that are sitting eggs right now.

I have a tiny roo. He's a brat. It's my monster Orpington and blue Wyandotte that are broody. Little Mr. Serama doesn't have a chance.
