Well the neighbor came up to me - we were helping another neighbor with something and asks if I’m missing any chickens and says his dogs got one it’s in the garbage.

Sigh. It’s his dogs being dogs. It’s my fault for not having the fence taller. If the dogs were in our yard it would be another story but.

So same dog got both ?

I got the other side of the door painted, then the dog put her foot through the screen! I fixed it, but i am considering taking the screen off because i am putting hardware cloth on it anyway.

I guess she put her foot into itis it pawsable

few yrs back I looked out and there was a beautiful yellow lab out there. I walked up and she was so friendly w/ me. I brought her in the gated area because I knew someone would be missing her. Then I went out to the chickens. I called the dog warden to come get her. FF a yr and a basset is out there. Same dang thing. This time I found the owner who said his parents raised chickens and would replace what was lost. I declined and then he went on to tell me how he lost his yellow lab a yr . ago and just got the basset. I put 2 &2 together and got mad all over again. Told him maybe he should consider keeping them home where they belong and people have every right to shoot them on their property if they are a threat. He used to have a pug that would come here and bark at us. Couldnt run it off. I finally set star on it. She taught him to stay home.
