So nice of you to go to all that trouble! Hugs.Big party here to day.. 2 year old party for GS , Henry.
So much to do to get ready. IT was fun but still so hot 96 today, shade was nice but we kept having to walk back and forth to get things from the house. ALL DOgs had to be locked up til everyone leaves and we clean up.
I am tired.
I pull grass roots and all from our gravel driveway daily and feed it to the chickens. Every day there is more. I also seeded a stretch of ground in front of the first chicken coop, as well as behind it. The stuff behind grew for a while but it looked like deer were bedding down in it. It is very shady back there and after it grew about 6" , it all died. The stuff in front has clover seed mixed in, i am hoping it will live because its a bit sunnier there. I also bought grass seed for shady areas.Little devil! If he's acting normal, I bet it's not an infection. To have that much goo, he'd have a fever or pain or something and I think you'd notice.
I have serious grass envy, Cap. The chickens get green grass in the spring and that's about it. They have been breaking into my kale patch lately... desperate this time of year. I have some alfalfa left. Going to give them some tomorrow.
Sorry Alley. Admire your strength to do the tough thing.
Happy birthday to Henry! Both my boys were born in the first half of Sept. Actually it's a VERY popular birth month. Count back 9 1/2 months and Merry Christmas-Happy New Year festivities!
Sorry if I can't drum up much sympathy for your glorious rain.Watch an old Clint Eastwood western, out in the unforgiving dry desert and maybe you won't mind so much. Dying of thirst must be a terrible way to die. (you feeling any better yet?
)
Are the Polish boys still hanging around?
