Granny, I don't think physical corrections (with your hand) for a cat would be very effective. I think their instinct would be to claw and fight back. A firm NO, and clap your hands loudly works pretty good for me. Throwing something like Cap said is good. A small bottle with some coins or pebbles for noise you can chuck toward them help. I toss an empty plastic water bottle at Henry when he tries to claw open the screen door at night (can't yell at him when everyone is sleeping). It works good and doesn't hurt.
Kittens make mistakes. I hope Robert isn't hurt too badly. Was he doing something that maybe scared the Nugster?
Yeah, but you thunk it!NOT that I ever have done such a thing.
and don't plan on it ever
thanks . No, he loves Robert and thinks he is his big play toy. He also has all 3 dogs on the run. all 3 at once.Granny, I don't think physical corrections (with your hand) for a cat would be very effective. I think their instinct would be to claw and fight back. Getting sleepy, going to sign off. Good night everyone. Sure miss Misty and Chris.
I did the same. Put long pieces upside down on the counter. Wasn't a problem at all. Old cat, Sidney, took multiple times, but finally learned to keep off the counters and tables. Henry, surprisingly, only took one time. He did not like the tape stuck to him. Ran all through the house. Hey, does that mean he's actually smart? When dipskit was little I used tape to keep him off places I didnt want him to be.
