Granny's gone and done it again

Ohh I see. sorry. It was checked w/ blood work not urine . I dont know that they even checked his kidney function. While reading I seen a link between this and diabetes. It could of been a bump to the leg as well. there are more causes then exercise
Did Robert have dark urine? That is usually what gets people to go to the dr and get diagnosed. I think you guys caught it very early, and "aggressive fluid replacement can prevent kidney damage." Sounds like that's what they did on the hospital.

I read all the causes, and none sound like Robert. Does he have diabetes?
Duchenne syndrome?

The dr got off work I was outside and he came over to talk to me. He said, He is gonna be alright. He probably is diabetic but I have given him 2 bags of saline and we will see if we cant get this flushed out of him. Then he told me to give him bed rest and recheck in 2 days .

He has never been tested for the other.
Both of those are predisposing factors. Duchenne is a type of muscular dystrophy... I haven't read anything about it.
edit: I just read about it, and he doesn't have that... would have been diagnosed already

The dr telling you it will be alright... sounds good to me. Who do you follow up with in 2 days?

Im not good company right now. I will try to BB later. If not sweet dreams all
:hugs It will be okay. If you notice anything wrong or Robert getting worse, take him back to the ER.
Try to get some rest. You have a lot to take care of around there.

Granny it is NOT your fault in anyway, shape or form. :old

My Sis in law , didn't take Mick into the Dr when he was little with a broken arm because Mick wasn't complaining (play ground accident) Things just happen.

I realize a broken arm is not as serious but I don't think the guilt that all parents feel is much different, irregardless of the severity. YOU DO THE BEST you can with the information and resources you have at the time.
