Granny's gone and done it again

They are neat dogs! Just be sure your backyard is secure, they can really run!
We have a very large fenced backyard. Over half an acre. I wonder if they would chase the hens... probably. Scooter is so good with the chickens. So was Belle.
Not planning anything right now. Still nursing ancient bunny. He tips over and can't get up. Spending more time down now. :( I have to check on him...

he knows you are helping him! They always seem to know, every dog and most of the cats I have rescued or fostered seem to have recognized that I'm trying to keep them safe/help them.
I have found that to be true. The bestest pets are the rescues. Ming and Scooter are super duper. Henry is pretty good too, I guess. :)

So let’s hear about the cats that kept you from saying “every cat” :lau

Also, I was reading that you have to be careful to leash them if they are outside without fencing. A woman described the sad death of her dog the one time she let the dog walk from the car to the front door off leash. Almost there, and it took off like a rocket. She watched it get run over at the end of her driveway. Heartbreaking.

Pic of my last pal. Friend gave him to me 15 years ago. Had to put him down a couple months ago.

I Like the great danes but wouldnt have one because of the life span. Have ALWAYS wanted a basset. I never get to pick my pets. They always find me.

I had that happen once. A senior pit bull female, a lot like Hank actually. I gave her food but instead of eating she just sat beside me with her head in my lap. I took her to the vet to get checked out, and she had bad heart worms. He didn’t think she’d tolerate treatment, but said she could probably have a few good months. I had her put down, and I still think about it all the time. I had her for a few hours but I cried for weeks.
