He’s not the one bbq-ing. I am. And it was just new grill grates and deflector thingmajigs.

Now we have the porcelain coated cast iron and I have no idea how to clean it lol. I have the feeling the wire brush is a bad idea.

So I go to grab the chicks and there are FOUR snakes in the coop.

How do they get in? Thankfully I've only got garter snakes here and they don't seem to care to go in the barn at all.

I saw that a couple of months ago. The judges totally wrote her off until she knocked their socks off. Very impressive at her age and even at half her age.

So I was doing chores, and getting birds caged for the swap and I suddenly realized I had no idea where my phone was! Hubby kept calling it until I found it upside down on the ground in Turkey Town. And thunder is mumbling the whole time!

It rested on my hands for awhile. I could feel it vibrating. I was carrying it to and a tree and it flew away. But it didn’t go far and perched on the branch. So we know: it could fly and orient, and it could safely perch. I’ll go look in the morning and see if it’s still there. We released it just after 8, so still a bit early for the bats.
