Not my truck. I’m in the bed because there were campers and their stuff in the cab. I’m videoing. This is over half a mile from my house. I drew a map!

All my daddy ever said about driving through deep water was “don’t slow down.”
Opposite advise than what hubs tells me. Slow and steady. You go blasting through you risk damage to body panels (it’s funny how many bumpers and air dams are just on the side of the road after floody rains here) and you have a higher chance of splashing water where it shouldn’t go.

That’s being said the ground is usually solid where I’m crossing. If it’s muddy or gross it’s keep up the inertia.

Back to work.

Right. Slow and steady is key. He just meant don’t get scared and stop. Keep your eyes straight ahead, don’t turn the wheel, and push on through.

I do not go through water on unfamiliar roads. We set up markers on our road so we can tell exactly how deep the water is.

Aww. My chicklets got some time in the grow out coop in the evening - was too hot during the day! They’re quickly outgrowing the brooder. I think tomorrow I’ll start kicking them in the grow out coop during the day - peach will be outside with them so that should be ok.

how old are they now? I know if we have a warm summer I only keep chicks in for 2-3 weeks. And my lings were never on heat but I had them outside during the day and inside at night until they got a little size.
