I finally did something today other than watching TV. Built the tunnel thing for the playhouse coop. It will lead out the window and through the chain link fence into the run. I think I will put a door on it in case I want to lock them in.

Completely a learned behavior. They are intelligent animals. Only 2 known places it's happened... South Africa, with 2 male orca as suspects, and a small pod up near the Farallon Islands, right off the coast of SanFrancisco, where great whites come to hunt seals. Orcas are rare there, and both time a shark was killed, ALL the other white sharks disappeared for the remainder of the hunting season. Turns out they went to Hawaii!! OR at least one did- they had a tracking device on it. How do you figure they all knew to leave? Mystery still not solved.


You have ZERO patience!! No hurry. Get your tanks up and running perfectly so when you do get a blue fish, it has the best chance to survive the shipping.
By the way, one of our favorite sushi restaurants is called Blue Fish.

Blue Fish, made me think of a rock group from the late 60's called Blue Cheer.

thats like when I first started w/ chickens. I was amazed the day I learned they have a brain. I was told all my life they were the dumbest creature alive maybe next to an earth worm.

Chickens are social. They live in groups, have ways of communicating, have social hierarchies. As social creatures ourselves, we recognize what they are doing and it makes sense to us, so we think of them as smart. And in a social way they are, but really they are only as smart as they need to be. I don't think they will be taking over the world anytime soon.

Tom should wiggle his feet around to keep the blood moving. That should help healing.

Then not the same as a diabetic ulcer then? Have you been using the ointment regularly?

an ulcer is a sore that wont heal. diabetic ulcer is a cause. His diabetes caused him to lose the meat from his feet. easier to say ulcer.
No he isnt . I have tried . He uses it once in a while but the thing isnt open soooo?

they can also open latches to escape and do a lot of other stuff that dont have anything to do w/ being social.
