Looks like the rain is over. Hubby heard a big tree fall, so likely he will be looking for that tomorrow.

Haven’t heard boo from the other job. I’m assuming it being up in town competition is fierce and I just didn’t make the cut. Sigh.

it’s so stressful being so far from home every day when you’re in fire country though.

Free firewood ! Just in time too

He has a pretty good pile of hardwood. It's mostly dead pines that fall down. We don't burn those in the woodstove because of the pine pitch.

I want October back, because I am not done with it! I fear November will be cold, rainy, and windy. Hubby just blew the leaves off the deck the other day, and now it is full again. I brought in the hummingbird feeder for the season.

Bringing in of the sweet nectar , what a sad time of year .The millions of fluttering heartbeats heads to who knows where, but the strength that you gave them through those warm summer months will surely lead them back next spring, to their sweet home fronts.
