Granny's gone and done it again

Jewel has chewed all of the fur from her rump. We haven’t changed food, but I got them some new bones that are soft, so maybe that’s it? I retreated for fleas, the stuff I use is monthly, but can be used weekly if needed. Her skin is dry and flaking.

I think it’s anxiety. When we travel she scratches and chews a full day after we get to DH’s godparents. Once we settle in, she stops.

Anyway, today I gave each dog a bit of leftover rice and ground beef, and I gave Jewel a little coconut oil. I might give her Benadryl during the day, to take the edge off. I want to rule out stress and new bones before we start changing food.
I've been giving Scooter coconut oil to try to tame his itchies. Seems to be helping and he doesn't stink so much. I give him his pills with it... he really likes it. Lip smacking!

Another pine? You sure have a lot of trees. Hopefully most of the weaker ones have been dealt with.

We have some camphor trees along the fence with one neighbor, and they are such trashy trees... or maybe I just need to take better care of them. Branches sprout up so fast, they can't support their own weight and lay out flat along the ground. Then about 10 new upright "trees" strat growing from the horizontal branch. Ugh. They're weak too, just snap right off. I bet they are quick burning too.
Can you extract the camphor and make anything out of it? A tree laying down and making more trees sounds cool to me.

Wouldnt you want to give it at night ? I hope its just dry skin and nothing more serious.

We all settle down at night and so she sleeps fine. It’s during the day we’re all pacing around anxious and fussy.

Is there anything else you can substitute? Maybe raise your own shrimpies.
I dont think its easy to do. I know you have to have air blowing on them and you start from eggs and salt then you have to wash them every time you feed.

The redwood trees do that too. Called a nurse log.

ohh Does she sense your stress ?

I think so. She’s really intuitive. She just sort of knows things. But it’s made her a bit neurotic. She’s a bit like a 50lb chihuahua. She never just relaxes and plays. She’s like a weird cat. She was better when she was younger... not sure what the difference was.
