DD1 and 3 friends have found a 4 bedroom (only 1 bath) furnished house, W/D and all utilities to rent starting at the end of the winter semester (which means mid April at Mt. Allison). IIRC $450/person (and that is Canadian so for her and the girl from Maine $340/mo).

That's a very good price... and furnished too? Would be at least twice that where my boy is. Even more here in CA.
My sister and I were talking about the arctic blast that is heading for the central and eastern US. Going to be frigid this week. Then my sis said, maybe THAT'S why it's so expensive in CA... price of temperate weather. We can't complain.
Cold has already hit Montana. High today was a whopping 9 degrees for my freshman.

Alley, should my snails be taking this long to grow ? I still see some that look about double newborn size. Very few are maybe the size of one peanut. Not the shell just one nut. I Think I seen a pinhole in one. I am giving them those weekend feeders along w/ algae wafers, green beans and extra fish food.

Do they need a calcium source to grow their shells?

Yes, they need calcium but thats what my hard water is about. Possible reason for my kidney stones. I seen someone used a birds cuttlebone. I might try that. Or maybe they arent getting enough food. IDK much about them really but I know they are not worth raising to sell. Takes too long to get them to any size.

This is why I cant google. Im looking for this pointy ball thing that falls from trees and I used to wrap foil around it and use it for a Christmas decoration. What tree do they come from?
