I read today you can freeze milk for 2 months. I am so picky about how my milk tastes. Said it would be good for 10 days after thawing. Anyone try that ?

It’s good shake it extremely well after it thaws. Then it tastes exactly the same. But you can actually freeze it as long as you want.

No problem. If you don’t though it’ll be a yellow color because the butterfat and water in it separate.

Friend of mine went for his 2 gal. limit today and half gal was on sale for .88 so he grabbed 4 and they wouldnt let him have them. Krogers here. Some lady in line behind him bought them and gave it to him. He said she wouldnt take the money. He is very old.

I guess limit 2 is limit 2. Its a money thing w/ them. If everyone gets a gallon for a $1.60 whatever then they will lose that .

Trying to remember some of the stories Mom told during the depression. Like they would get something , cant remember what she called it. Like a token or paper that allowed them one sac of flour or so many eggs.. Its just the same now.

She complained because her dad would trade the sugar coupon for flour or meal. They had their own eggs. Government asked everyone to raise chickens.

I can understand trying to stifle the hoarders, but for an elder, got to give a little. Bless the quick thinking lady.
