yes , they like to kill young trees doing that. One sideways stem aint gonna grow a tree. LOL Even if it did it would be dangerous.Well, it's still alive! What did the deer do, use it for antler scratching?

Do you have one more tank just to put the wood in and keep the plants alive until you can propagate them? What type of glue do you use?Whatever is killing my fish is killing my plants too. It has to be the wood I put in. I cant figure anything else except the light and thats just dumb. I glued some plants to the wood and if I take it out I am going to lose them.
Only thing I've ever seen do that are deer.Did you see the tree stump I was asking about what could be stripping it like that ?

Better pictures... looks like it's rotting. What do you have around there that would be digging for bugs? Bears? Something smaller?View attachment 2078013View attachment 2078014

Tadpoles have to eat something, but if they are in a pond, they'll probably eat what's naturally in there.Wonder if the pond would work? I do have another tank. 2 actually. Toms 10 gal and a 20 long w/ no lid. Would frogs/tadpoles eat the plants ?
That's what I was thinking too. They can do a lot of damage.gel type is safe. Woodpecker ?
