well Erv stopped in for a "chat" and brought some goodies his wife baked.

Then I did some dishes and cut up/boned out a ham and broke it down into various intended uses. Plan on try in lentil and ham soup sometime this week.

Sherry went out to visit George's grave and see the headstone the kids finally got put up for him.

No, I cook northern and they cook fairly fast.

that's what I use all the time and still soak them over night and then cook until "almost" soft before actually adding the ham and bone and stuff.

Vet bills are scary!

he is usually VERY reasonable in not actually underpriced. Last year it was 10 buck a head to pg and also bangs the four heifers. Plus mileage. I think the more animals he does at one time the cheaper.

Another nice cool day. Excellent time to get some yard work done, but sadly I am pretty beat up from what I did up at the farm yesterday. Slept pretty good, though! Think I will start off with making some banana bread and then head outside while it is overcast. There's always something to do.
