I thought it was a simple trip to see the chicks, but ended up setting up an outdoor quail pen for the two I had in the barn. And making them a dust bath, with wood ash and sand. Then I set up a heater for the poor birds that have bugs, I already treated them. Tomorrow I am going to need to clean and spray the coop. Sigh.

Well. Shortly after I pulled out to grab pizza, ups arrived. So dinners are saved.
Granny - wouldn’t be good cause it wouldn’t be able to stay safely cold for that long.

Sorry, got caught up in dinner prep and other exciting things. Oven was on for something the boys were cooking, so I also stirred up some banana bread to cook at the same time. I've been meaning to do it since last week. Bananas are all melted!

They did! Not a crumb left. I made them ration it to one piece a day, but it still didn’t last long.

Glad the kiddos liked the bread. Unfortunately, I like it a little too much. It smells so good right now....

Morning all, Its just breaking dawn here. I have been up for hours. I found Tom in his chair but at least he keeps dozing . Its going to be a very long day but I am mentally prepared to accept this challenge just like others before.
I think the new meds are helping . (Can you tell ?) I caught myself singing yesterday. Good news for me, everyone else not so much. They do have a couple nasty side effects but Dr. said that will/should go away in time.
Pain clinic called and said we will do the phone appt. again. Yaaa.. 2 trips I didnt have to make ! Ok, so I admit, personally I am enjoying this staying at home stuff. I desperately needed a break.
