Must of been the last plant I bought then. Its cool looking.
I read that blacking out the tank for 3 days will kill it but hurt the plants as well.

If 3 days of no light would kill that stuff I'd be covering the entire tank and putting it in pitch black for 3 days in a heartbeat!!!! The other plants won't die that fast. You might hear them screaming "I'm STARVING" but heck, you've had kids, you've heard it before and they didn't die.
