There has been a corvid war in the backyard this week. Some crows tried to muscle their way in at the same time a pair of Steller's jays showed up. Haven't seen those here in a long time. But, the resident scrub jay family, who raised 4 babies this year, are having none of it, and have been mercilessly pestering the interlopers. The racket starts before sunrise and is loud all day... crows and Steller's and scrubs all shrieking at the top of their lungs. Oh my! Only good thing was it chased the hawks away. Much quieter today. The egg eating Scrub family won, of course. I like them except they eat too many chicken eggs.

There is a huge murder of crows that passes by daily here.. I've seen them walking down the road a time or two looking for 'scraps'. Then we have a type of vulture that circles overhead frequently, and of course red shoulder and red tail hawks. Won't even start in on the eagles. Down in Seminole I watched osprey catching fish. That was exciting. And the great blue herons were stunning.

Thank you! If they were plastic, the CO2 argument might make sense. But they are fabric or paper, and so are breathable. They allow air transfer, they just capture moisture, the droplets that carry the virus. You know, the virus that kills people. If the masks were dangerous, doctors and nurses would not wear them all day. Surely we can wear them for the half hour or so we are shopping. To save lives, you know. Because we are all in this together.

I am sorry but you are breathing back your CO2 and lots of other stuff you should be breathing out. Masks are not healthy for your average person to be wearing.

I am chugging along. Did some mask wearing shopping today and got a new blender. I don't have much fancy stuff in the kitchen, no food processor, but I do like a blender. I want to make some slushies!! Healthy ones.

Oh, we have those here too.. Snakes. monster sized red and black 'centipedes' and golden orb weaver spiders that get huge! I had to find a new direction to the hose bib out front today because a female orb weaver had made her web where I normally walk.

Oh wow! And I thought I was doing good to have all my little song birds and humm'birds, lol!
