Granny's gone and done it again

So, I spent a little time on the interwebs researching best broody hens. Fortunately I have two breeds that came up on the list of 11 best broody breed... Marans and Orphingtons. Hopefully they can get broody and hatch eggs from other hens since they will just be laying eggs. I don't have a male of either type :hmm So far, none of the marans or buffs are getting any type of comb at all.

I was coming back to the house tonight and was greeted with the sight of a huge, like almost 4 feet tall at its head dog that could have doubled for a grey wolf if it wasn't for the wagging tail and the collar around it's neck. Buck and Spot saw it, Seal Team Cattle Dog saw it. I thought for sure there was going to be a big brawl between it and Buck and Spot but luckily it seemed friendly and after touching noses with Spot, they both obeyed me and went to the house. By the time I could get to the house, grab the broom from the brooder room, it was gone down the road to visit the neighbor's two dogs. I thought for a brief moment WOLF! as there have been reports of timber wolves being seen in the area but then I saw the collar around it's neck and realized it was just one big mama of a malamute.

I sure hope it isn't a stray or a run away. This Inn has no more kennel room.

Psst, Orpingtons have no "h" in them.

I just assembled an organizer that hold those fabric bins. What a piece of junk! But what can you expect for $20? Any way, I got 2 of them to try and store all my stuff I use downstairs. Hopefully it will serve the purpose for now. Next time I will build my own!

Not the fish. They were just beer battered store bought but the chips were hand cut by yours truly. I stopped buying store fries years ago. We prefer hand cut to reconstituted formed into French fries type of 'chips'.
Do you deep fry them? Sounds very good.
