You don't stir them silly. You put a lid on it for about five minutes.

Next time you make them, Imagine I am behind you and say, "Stir and die" LOL. But seriously, a lid on it, with it down to a simmer, will cause all of the dumpling to cook perfectly.

Stir before you put the dough in. Put the lid on. Lock down for 5 minutes!

I do get scary when I need to. LOL. The woman that plays Yahtzee with me, heard my tone change when Lucy didn't listen and I simply said, "what did I say". Her eyes got wide, and she said she could never do that thing I do with my voice. LOL

I make my dumplings just a hair lighter than my biscuits. As I do make sticky biscuits, but it is the rolling them in flour that firms them up a bit more. I love dumpling, but I love biscuits and sausage gravy.

Well all, all the boys are now soaking on ice. In the morning I will dry them off, and decide if they will go to freezer camp, or I make quail and dumplings.
