I have to keep my older (and by older, they’re not even a year old yet and probably not that close to it) flock separate from the younger flock. I have to do that because I have my half-brother’s family wanting some CL chicks when they start laying and I don’t wanna risk them getting mixed with my NH cockerels. They want them in the spring so by then the CL girls will probably be laying well.

My half brother also wants to me to hatch some of my calls for his wife as a surprise for her birthday. Her bday is March 25th. I have bad luck hatching calls so I think I’ll start trying for duckings in early February.

If it isn’t too much to ask, could everyone keep my aunt in your thoughts are prayers. She has stage 4 cancer, diagnosed in July. The cancer started in her stomach and is now basically all over her body. She tried chemotherapy, but it didn’t touch it. In fact, it spread more. She is having a second round of a more aggressive chemo/radiation treatment. She is hurting all over, and her shoulders hurt so bad that she is doubled over and isn’t able to get out of bed. She has tried everything she knows to try, but the pain will not stop. Her current condition is terminal. Please keep her in your thoughts and prayers.

Very sorry about your aunt. Does she have hospice care? They were extremely helpful to my mother during the end stages... eased her pain a great deal. I hope your aunt can get some relief. I will keep her in my thoughts.

Oh, absolutely. Hospice is so helpful, not just for the patient, but for the family. You need the support. They are amazing.
