I am very close to the Ohio border. And Ky. too. My DH lived in Ohio for many years and my SD lives there now.
I was almost a 12 lb baby. hehee Talk about a hurting.

I got one of my dogs from Kentucky. My mom’s heaviest was a little over 8lb (wasn’t me though).

Don't northern states homeschool? My XH was in construction and we moved a lot. I homeschooled my two a couple of times. This was in CO, NM and AZ. They loved it. Could start at 9 am and finish by 2 pm, or start earlier and finish at noon, just so they finished their assigned material for that day.

I helped a friend with a home birth. She had a midwife. All did not go well. Fortunately the MW could tell the baby was in distress and got the mom to the hospital in time.
