Getting off can cause as much injury as falling off. I’ve jumped of before and the knee has given way. Even ended up on my backsideOhh How I wish I could ride again. Last time I rode I actually sprained my wrist getting off the horse. Ended up in the ER.
Glad you enjoyed it Blue.
Faffing meaningI dont think I have anything like that. I just need to force myself to do it. "faffing"?
I thought that too but d miss readAre the chickens going?
Totally understandable there Blue. Those biting insects there sound bad!York, a couple of factors at work here. 1. this is not good horse country. I used to be in a dry, desert sort of climate, wide open, lots of trails and wonderful riding weather year round. Not so where I am now. Also, the bug situation is different here, biting insects bad for man and beast. 2. I've aged and my health won't permit me to ride and care for horses any more. And 3. At our age, the cost of horses would be foolish to take on. So, though I have regrets around living without horses, and reality is harsh, it is a fact of life. So any time you want to post pics of your Harry, you will bring a little joy to this old horse-loving heart!

that sounds good. I love cabbage fixed any way.Maybe it was just a bad bird? We had carrots today along with cabbage & leek for our Sunday lunch with beef. I like raw carrots too.
