Granny's gone and done it again

They will have a vet come out and knock kitty out to change the collar. He will be left in the same spot and they'll wait for him to wake up... at a distance. I hope he gets to finish off his deer.
Mtn lions don't eat the rumen (stomach full of greens). They prefer the liver. Rumen is pulled out and buried. The carcass is also buried under leaves and other loose stuff. Quinton found the dead dear by it's ear sticking out of the cache site!
so it will stay at your dads. I would hope they would relocate it. He feeds the deer right?

oh I would have chopped them up and added them to the sauce I am making.
I was referring to the ones you had already eaten! 😜

OH and we broke a record from 1920 for heat today. Managed to hit 92* :sick
We are cooling off this week. Highs in the 70s, as it should be this time of year. Almost feels normal after 7+ years of not enough rain. Slim chance we will get some Friday,

I would think have a lion near will just make the deer more "alert/wary" besides they need to learn NO such thing as a "free meal"

well I hate to do it but I am bushed.

I wish you all a great evening, Sweet Dreams, Warm Fuzzies, Prayers.

I look forward to hearing all about the lion catch and release there wishing.

Good news on getting in to the dR so quickly granny.

It will stay there until it decides to leave which will probably be as soon as it wakes up. The male moves around a very large territory that has several females taking smaller territories. He was staying on the farm for more than a day which meant he made a kill and would stay for 2 or 3 days to finish it off. That's how they knew to look for the deer in the first place. Lions make rounds all the time. 50 yrs and my dad has never seen one. They don't mess with people.

Robert thinks its time for her to be put down. Maybe I think so too. The question about her having joy in her life really got me questioning myself. I think it would be best left up to the vet.
I hope you get to see the ML. I seen one in the driveway next to ours and it was a pretty scary critter.
We had one in a small cage at WSU where I grew up. It was the school mascot. They would put it a small cage and wheel it around at half time GO COUGARS! I would go visit it all time. Magnificent animal.

you didnt get any of the rain h2o and star got?
Nope. Maybe Friday. :fl

Forgot to add... dad does not feed the deer. He keeps water out for the birds and critters, though, so they come around to drink.

Goodnight Twist!
