Dad's power is out AGAIN. Since this afternoon. I just checked online and it sounds like crews haven't even found the problem yet. Looks like more then 50 homes in the dark.
I'm going to call him. Sometimes the website isn't updated.

Does he have any other heat source?

It might be a reaction to the warmth inside. Pines drop needles in the heat here.

Of course! Woodstove. I don't think he ever uses the furnace.
He's very prepared. Generator too.

I tried 3 times and no answer. I bet the batteries the run the exchange for the landlines near him ran out of juice. Not enough power on the line to ring his phone, but he could call out if he dialed. Website says 58 homes in the dark.
It's been pouring, so there might have been a tree or 2 come down. There is a section along the road that is sliding badly... not near the farm, but in the area of the outage.

Yikes, sounds like too much rain. Im sure he is ok. He sounds like a pretty handy guy.

That sounds okay for a conifer.
I think most people toss those trees. We planted one that grew and was very ugly. Dad had it cut it down not too long ago. Kept him warm for awhile.

really? It dont say what kind of evergreen it is. I know its not pine. It has very short needles and multi-stemmed . More like a bush
