My sweet Nugget was killed by a hawk today. We are trying some last efforts to hatch her eggs.

She was my favorite. Grammy found her and watched as she was killed. I am thankful she saved the other chicks. I will never find another chicken like Nugget.

It definitely will. Hawks are nasty. We can't even shoot them where we live

Ah okay. I hope she gets what she wants. Maybe Twist will know what its called when she does that.

possible that they just weaned the calf off of her OR she is in "season" OR needs to be milked ie swollen/full udder I understand that it can be painful.

Thank you Twist! She has quieted down. I do believe she is missing her calf, since I think I saw a few babies when I moved here.

No need to be jealous...we have a lot of slopes/hills that can't really be used.

BUT good for yaks, goats or sheep. AS long as there is access to water and shade (for yaks)
